Bintang Belong, Morgan Kunda, Georgetown, Tendaba and back to Kotu. A big trip! I've seen a lot of beautiful bird, big birds of prey, tiny sunbirds and many more. Famara is an incredible guide, he shows you birds while you are almost put your foot on it. Larks, hidden on the ground, I missed them several times but he, patient as he is, tells you where to find them. If you are interested in birds of prey, he will drive you to them. Whatever you ask him, he will or try to find for you. We went with a boattour on the river, saw a lot of kingfishers and a African Fish Eagle with his young. Super!!! After five exhausting days, I came very pleased back in my hotel in Kotu. Hicimos cinco días de excursiones con Famara en las que nos mostró diversos habitats con distintas aves: bosque, playa, zona de secano, cultivos... Es un guía muy amable y con gran conocimiento sobre las costumbres de los pájaros. Vimos más de ciento cuarenta especies diferentes (algunas muy difíciles de localizar sin un ojo experto). We have had Famara as our birdwatching guide for many years now and he never fails to provide the best service. His birding skills are superb and he will tailor any trip to your exact requirements. We travelled up river some years ago with him and he appears to be able to charm the bird you want to see .. Egyptian plover in that case! This year we had a non birder with us and Famara pitched our days perfectly to suit us all. I had (with my wife) unforgettable birdwatching and - photographing trips with Famara Njie from Sparowbirding as guide. Hij drove us to a number of fantastic bird locaties and showed us a lot of the amazing species of Gambia. And that for reasonable prices. Wij zijn vier dagen op pad geweest met Jack Sparrow. Hij weet alle vogels goed te vinden en aan te wijzen aan zijn gasten. We hebben boottours gedaan maar ook te voet. Daarnaast heeft hij ons een dag begeleid naar Kunta Kinteh Island. Jack is vriendelijk en rijdt beheerst door het chaotische verkeer in Gambia. Being a birdlover, but collourblind, I needed a good guide who could help me, telling me exactly where to see the bird. In Famara I found an excellent guide. Returning last november we meet again and went to several parks. He showed me alotof birds I could photograph. I hope to go a third time and Famara will be my guide. De rondreizen waren alleszins de moeite waard. Hoewel ik geen vogelaar ben heb ik zeer genoten van de kanotochten en ook de vismarkt in Tanji vond ik fascinerend. De lodges waar we verbleven waren brandschoon, maar niet extreem luxe. I love birding and visited The Gambia already three times with my wife and always I wanted Famara Njie from SparrowBirding as a guide. He doesn't miss a bird and give excellent explanation about all the birds and wildlife you will see.
